10 Craft Projects for a Rainy Day

Updated on November 29, 2012

10 Do it Yourself Projects

I don't cry when I see rain, I see it as an opportunity. I am a big "Do-it-yourself" person and I see a rainy day as an opportunity to spend some time with my favorite crafts.

In this lens, I offer 10 suggestions on how you can spend your rainy days crafting (shown in no particular order). So maybe you'll spend today trying a new craft, rediscovering an old one or shopping to stock up on craft items so you'll have something fun to do on the next rainy day. Enjoy!

I'll attempt almost any craft idea/kit with my nieces. I love to cross stitch and embroider but arthritis makes it hard to do those now.

@simplyoasis: All of the kool-aid and food coloring dyed yarn I've made has been perminant. I haven't seen any bleeding or dulling of the colors.

Great job, I love crocheting so I wonder how well that tye-dyed yarn would hold up, may have to give it a try just for fun =)

As a matter of fact, it is rainy today. Yeah! We need the rain bad.

I like to do bead patterns, bead or work on kissies.
