iStockPhoto
iStockPhoto is the most well known site on which people can sell their photographs. The website contains almost 4 million photographs, they normally pay 15% royalties for non exclusive and up to 45% if you sign an exclusive contract. If you are an artist that works in other forms they also allow you to sell videos, illustrations and flash.
Shutterstock
Shutterstock contains almost 16 million+ photos for sale and has 300,000+ photographers signed up. They sell video as well as illustrations. Even if you are not into selling photos they have a referral program where you can make money referring other photographers.
Fotolia
Fotolia is a site that has been around for awhile. They boast 14 million+ photographs and their pricing is slightly less than others. This may decrease the amount you can make but on the other hand the lower prices may be what attracts more customers to the site. Fotolia pays 20 - 63% when your photos sell.
Dreamstime
This site contains 11.5 million+ photos and they pay from 30% - 60% for each photo sold. They currently have 100,000+ photographers work on their site.
BigStockPhoto
BigStockPhoto also has millions of photos on their site. They pay you 30% of each sale made and allow you to withdraw your earnings once you have reached at least $30.
123RF
123RF has 10 million+ photos on their site and pay 50% per sale. They also have referral programs where you can make money referring either customers or photographers looking to sell their work.
CanStockPhoto
CanstockPhoto has 5 million+ photos on their site and pay 50% per sale and 25 cents for a subscription download.
ShutterPoint
ShutterPoint has set itself from a lot of it's competitors with a very high payout rate to it's contributor a big 85%. Certainly one to try out.
Veer
Veer accepts photos but also other art and fonts.
PhotoStockPlus
PhotoStock Plus is newer on the block but says that they work with their sellers to make sales to buyers.
