A Rose Craft: Eggie Pets a Craft With Egg Shells
Meet the Eggie Pets!
Some suggestions for your own craft bin include some of these items for this craft- but I highly recommend that whatever is on the inside, keep a good lid on the top of the bin, we discovered this one the hard way with googlie eyes glued to the wall around little boy height down the hallway!
Great Craft Ideas
Keep this craft in mind as you make eggs and save the shells!
Have an adult take a raw egg, puncture the top and the bottom with a needle and blow the egg inside of a bowl, use for cooking a fantastic breakfast! Once your eggshells are empty, rinse them with water & set them in a dry space to dry out the inside for at least 24 hours. (see picture 1)
Once the inside of the eggs have dried out completely, mix food coloring according to the package directions (most of the time it is 1/2 cup hot water and 1 tsp vinegar). Color your eggs in whatever vivid colors your heart desires and set them aside to dry.
Once the eggs are dry, bring out your craft supplies and let the kids take over with their imaginations! Have fun making all sorts of animals and creatures! (see picture 2)
