Baby Sweater - Free Crochet Pattern
My First Ever Crochet Sweater
I have always been scared to Crochet clothing. It give me chills when I think about the measurements and shaping. Finally the day came, when I can run away but I said okay let's give it a try. Again, I waited a few days, reasoning myself how I have lots of work in office and how tired I get. I ran out of all the reasons when I received an email from Favecrafts (they send me daily new free online crochet patterns), It had a baby sweater pattern which even beginners can make. So I thought to give it a try.
My Boss had a baby girl this Christmas and I was planning to give her something crocheted. Obviously this experimental baby sweater was not what I had planned to give but my colleagues and family love the way it turned out and so this experimental baby sweater will be the gift for a newborn.
A Tiny Bit of Me
Obviously, this is not my original pattern, I even copied where the buttons were stitched. It lacked the me in it which did not make me happy. So I went ahead and added the edging to the sweater. A tiny bit of me and even the pattern said - Go ahead and feel free to decorate the sweater.
Below I have added the Original Pattern written pattern link, plus I also found a Youtube video for the same pattern by bobwilson123. Bobwilson123 has made a video tutorial for this pattern, so if ever you get stuck like me while reading patterns, it is very helpful.
Does Crocheting something ever made you nervous?

This sweater took up a total of about two and half hours. It has given me confidence to make sweaters and I am already working on changing a few things in this pattern and making one with lots of me in it.
