Barefoot Sandals with Beads and Hemp

These sandals seemed to be everywhere this summer! Worn with or without real sandals. I noticed them on the beach a whole lot! They can be purchased any number of places. I haven't looked on eBay for them but I know sites like Etsy carry them from several different sellers.

I love the dainty look of crocheted sandals. These have been crocheted with the same thread that old fashioned doilies were made from. I love the beads that have added.

Barefoot sandals are fairly easy to make yourself. All you need is some hemp that can be picked up at any craft store or even Wal-Mart, and some beads. Of course you'll need scissors. There are no right or wrong rules to making them, so be free to be creative.

Beads may be purchased and found any number of places: craft stores, dollar stores, Wal-Mart, online on eBay, etc. I've even gone to garage sales and found jewelry with beads to use. Thrift stores have used jewelry as well to find some unique beads from.
