The holiday seasons are for times of joy, comfort and family gatherings. I know around my house we all help with decorating, cooking and other festivities to make our family time happy! In this post I will provide you with instructions on how to create your own citrus Christmas ornament that will add to the aromatic fragrance of your home!
- 1. 1 orange, lemon, mandarin or clementine
- 2. 1 thin ribbon of your choice of color with a length long enough fit twice around your fruit
- 3. 1 package of cloves
Once you have purchased all of your supplies, choose a place where you can work comfortably then lay out your supplies on the table. Now wrap your ribbon around your fruit making sure that you are twisting the ribbon at the base of the fruit. Then next divide your fruit in quarters using your long ribbon. Next you must feed the ends of your ribbon at the top of your fruit and then tie a nice knot to ensure the security of your ribbon.
After you have secured your knot you can then begin to press cloves into your fruit along the edges of your ribbons. You can fill in the quarter sectioned areas of your fruit to your liking and remember every design is beautiful because you are the one that is creating this ornament! Once you have finished filling in the areas with cloves, you can then tie the ends of your long ribbon to make a pretty bow and use it as an ornament for your Christmas tree.
