Close up photography

Updated on February 28, 2012

Close up photography or better known macro photography

I came to loving photography just over 2 years now as I write. I’ve always taking snap shots of the kids or where I’d been on holiday and so on. It wasn’t until I joined RedGage and knowing that you can make some extra cash from my photos that my photography took off. And it’s only a year ago that I bought myself a proper camera, well it’s a so called bridge camera, but soon I will be buying a new one.

Two types of photography I love, one being landscape and the other is Marco photography. Macro photography fascinates me, seeing so much more detail than you wouldn’t normally see and often you don’t see the beauty of things until you see them in a different light.

Macro photography

What is Macro photography, until not so long ago I never heard of it let alone knowing what it is. Macro photography is the taking of photos up close, photos of insects and flowers. Seeing the fine dainty detail, seeing how beautiful some insects really are close up. With Marco photography seeing something that you wouldn’t normally take a second look at.

I still learning about Marco photography and how to take better photos, but with time and plenty of patience my photography as grown and I do love seeing the end result after going out and taking photos.

Take care and have fun

I am also fascinated by macro photography, but really don't know much yet. I enjoyed each of your photographs, particularly the web..where the spider looks like some diamond studded brooch from afar. Voted up, beautiful and sharing.

I've never heard of Red Gage. I like Flickr and am happy there without selling photos. I like macro photography. I have a macro setting on my digi camera but I know there is a lot more you can do with it. I don't have an SLR to change lenses and etc. So I'm limited a bit but still do what I can.

Thank you That Grrl, I never want a DSLR mainly because of the cost, but with doing more photography I started to think that maybe I should get one and I so glad that I have. I agree you still can do so much without a DSLR, once again that you for you comments :)

Macro photography is always fun when we have a good camera and we know how to use it, and those pictures was taken by one of them. I love Photography, but I am just beginner and I don't have a good camera. Great work Arren123.
