Coming out of the Cave
Blog 1
Well, crazy times are everywhere. Off the top, be safe everyone. Keep your head on straight, be respectful to your well-being and that of others. We are literally all in this together, all around our beautiful big world.
Did I sign up to start blogging something like 3 weeks ago? Wow, talk about slow out of the gate! Better late than never and at least I took the first step in getting started ;)
I am an artist. I'm used to living and breathing behind the painting easel and drawing board. So at the moment, I'm actually faring quite well with self-isolation in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Work outside of the home has come to a halt, and so has school. So my son is home full time now as well. Not only are we having quality family time, and ample of it, we're also learning that boundaries for personal sanity must be reinstated!! Any other parents out there in the same boat of elation and frustration?!?? Please let me know I'm not alone :D
I committed to teaching free art lessons on my Facebook page during these initial 14 days of no school. I'm only 5 days in and though I am sincerely feeling grateful that I have the skill sets and talents to help other families out at the moment with breaking up the days a little with creativity, I'm also feeling like these will be the longest 14 days I've endured in quite a while!
I've also just started a YouTube channel, have lots of ideas for it, just have to start now. It would be nice if some things we begin just took over themselves and let us sit back ;) But then again, maybe that wouldn't be such a grand thing!
Ok, well, here it is, I can now officially say I have created my first blog post. Whew. Done!
Til I'm in here again, be awesome!
