The circus is coming!!! Crafts made from Paper Towel Rolls

Updated on October 10, 2011

Kid crafts

So I have a 4 and 2 year old son and daughter and we make crafts a few times a week. I'm always brain storming and thinking of new crafts.

This is one of the crafts that we have made from a paper towel roll and 2 toliet paper rolls. It was great and easy for the kids to make. First we cut the paper towel you cut most of the back away to make a giraffe, at the bottom you want to cut legs, we used yarn for the tail. The Lion I used what I cut from the giraffe to make the head. We also made an elephant and the ears where cut from the back of the Lion and elephant. Again using yarn for the tails on both.

Then it was the painting part, the kids painted them and then I added to any spots missed. They are paper so less paint is better. We let them dry and then added the faces. While we were waiting we made a circus backdrop for them.

The kids loved them and played with then all day and for a few weeks after. They were a easy, cheap and fun for all! Hope you enjoy!
