Continue to work in this manner until you reach 8 to 10 stitches between the two shell sets. I crochet mine with a size G hook and usually 10 stitches work for me. Check your work by placing it onto the hanger from time to time. You may need to do more or even less than I do. Remember you will be making these a little small as they need to be stretched onto the hanger. This is to prevent them from becoming loose over time.

Make two of these and sew together at the ch 1 on each side. Using a tapestry needle.

Embellishment..optional.....a pretty silk flower or one that you have made. Ribbons, bows , rhinestones..whatever works..just make it your own.

A client of mine passed this pattern on to me years ago. She would make these to sell at craft fairs and her Church bazaars.

If you are looking for an even faster way to crochet your clothes hanger.

Simply single crochet stitch all around the entire area of your hanger, the advantage of this is your center area is left open so that you are able to use the hanger for items you would need to fold over the hanger, like a pair of slacks or scarves.

The basket liner is cute. My wife loves baskets and anything wicker, and I think she could really get into making stuff like that.
