How To:

  1. Think of an idea
  2. draw it out in pencil
  3. Make any corrections you wish
  4. Outline in black ink
  5. Erase pencil marks
  6. Add your signature :)
  7. Photocopy if you wish to have multiple copies

What Got Me Started:

It is super easy to make your own color pages. I got started when a woman who works with my mom asked me to draw some for her art class. 1 a week for 12 weeks. I jumped at the opportunity because I love art and I love to help people and get them excited about art too! And I was excited just to be getting my artwork out into the community even if it was just a little bit.

Topic Ideas

  • Zentangle Designs
  • Buildings (Castles, Houses, Pyramids, etc,)
  • Hot Air Balloons
  • Stuffed Animals (Sock Monkeys, Teddy Bears, etc.)
  • Cartoon Characters (Disney Princesses, Looney Tunes, etc.)
  • Animals (Owls, Lizards, Peacocks, elephants, etc.)
  • Robots
  • Instruments
  • And Anything Else You Can Think Of!! :)

Another Option:

My mom actually made me a coloring book when I was a child, about 7 years old. She printed out pictures from the internet and bound them together then decorated the cover for me and gave it to me as a Christmas Gift. I loved it. This is another option you could do to make color pages, they can be found for free printing all over the internet.

Another Of Mine:

Why?

This can be made as a gift for children or people who enjoy coloring, it can be done just for fun, it can be done by teachers as a project for or with the students, it can be done for yourself, or it can be done for whatever reason you want!

Thanks For Visiting!

I hope that this hub has helped or inspired you in some way because it is something that I find really fun and it is super easy. I had not even thought of making my own color pages until my mom's coworker brought it up.

I love it! Voted beautiful and awesome :) That's so sweet that your mom made you a coloring book and you still remember it. I would love to make one of these for my son someday, when he is old enough to color :) Thanks for the idea!
