His father, Shri Brajendra Sharan Sharma, who was educated at the Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur, started training Kamal at the early age of two, in sketch and memory drawing. Also, in the absence of his father, Kamal used to play with colours, and bring out some attractive paintings. At the age of three, child Kamal Nayan, produced a lovely painting on the big canvas and thus indicated that he would become a famous artist in the future.
Thereafter, Kamal Nayan, received training under Art teacher, Shri Kripal Dutt Tripathi, Lord Hording Scholar Gold Medalist, and also Shri Tripathi, the renowned sculptor and painter, imparted all comprehensive training to Kamal Nayan for the rest of his life. With this valuable guidance of his worthy Guru, Kamal Nayan, supported by his hard work, fixed his future destinations.
