Distant Dream Photography

Distant Dream Photography

I’ve love the world of photography which I came across by accident a few years ago. I’d always loved to take photos rather than having my photo taken. I’ve always enjoyed being on the other side of the camera. It wasn’t until just over 3 years ago I came across a website where I could post my photos and get paid. Since then I’ve come along way with my photography work learning so much from viewing other people work.

When I first started taking photos I didn’t have proper camera. I never had anything which I could call a good camera. A point and shot or my mobile phone did a good job in taking photos or at least I thought so. However it wasn’t long before I was hitching to get myself a DSLR. After viewing and reviewing which DSLR to buy I settled for a Canon. Having a DSLR as meant better quality of work from me. Over the years a number of people have said to me why don’t you sell your work? I’ve been on Zazzle and red babble for some years now but never really sold much but then again I’ve never really promoted my work on those sites.

Over the years people who I know have started their own websites selling their work. The latter part of 2012 I decided that I would start my own website selling my work. Easier said than done to tell you the truth, I’ve learnt so much in doing my own website. The website is forever on going or seems to be, changing it around, adding new work and so on. You don’t realize what you have to do when you have your own website.

I called the website Distant Dream Photography because it a distant dream for me if it ever becomes something and really makes a lot of money selling my work. Although money doesn’t bother me, just nice to see people buying my work, which I always think is amazing.

At Distant dream photography you can have quality prints sent to your home address or if you wish you could have a digital download. The digital downloads are the easiest and more fun because you can do what you like the photo file. The list is endless to what you could do, have them printed yourself, place on your own website, it all up to you what you do.

Please feel free to go over to my website and view some of my work, more will be added over time. At the moment I have 48 prints and 24 digital downloads, the next 24 digital downloads will be added during the next few weeks.

Thank you for viewing my work I do hope you've enjoyed, hope that you have a wonderful day, take care and have fun.

Thank you Fossillady, I have a good printing company to do the prints for me and I post them out myself. If you want click the digital download button and then you have the photo file to do whatever you wish with. Either print it off yourself, take it somewhere to be printed or ever use it on your own website if you have one.

Wishing you the best of luck with your website . . . btw who does the printing and mailing? I have had a Redbubble account for two years and have only sold a few cards. So much competition out there.
