Step by Step Guide

1. Form the lowest or base layer of the cake.

This will be the largest layer of the cake in terms of diameter.

  • Get the round container or baking mold.
  • Put the 30 pieces of diapers. You can add some more diapers if there is still some space.
  • Set in one direction all the diapers, either clockwise or counterclockwise. Look at the below photo for a more vivid illustration.
  • Put the cylinder in the middle to create a hole
  • Get the string and tie the 30 pieces of diapers to become one layer of cake. Not to much tight because it might ruin the diapers.
  • Gently remove the cylinder.
  • Get the ribbon and put it around the layer. Glue it with scotch tape

2. Form the second layer of the cake.

This will be the middle layer of the three layer cake.

  • Get the round container or baking mold smaller than the first mold we used.
  • Put the 22 pieces of diapers. You can add some more diapers if there is still some space.
  • Set in one direction all the diapers, either clockwise or counterclockwise. Look at the below photo for a more vivid illustration.
  • Put the cylinder in the middle to create a hole
  • Get the string and tie the 22 pieces of diapers to become one layer of cake. Not to much tight because it might ruin the diapers.
  • Gently remove the cylinder.
  • Get the ribbon and put it around the layer. Glue it with scotch tape

3. Form the topmost layer of the cake

This will be the middle layer of the three layer cake.

  • Get the smallest round container or baking mold.
  • Put the 14 pieces of diapers. You can add some more diapers if there is still some space.
  • Set in one direction all the diapers, either clockwise or counterclockwise. Look at the below photo for a more vivid illustration.
  • Put the cylinder in the middle to create a hole
  • Get the string and tie the 14 pieces of diapers to become one layer of cake. Not to much tight because it might ruin the diapers.
  • Gently remove the cylinder.
  • Get the ribbon and put it around the layer. Glue it with scotch tape

5. Design each layer

Use a diaper cloth with designs. Then surround each outer layer with the ribbons and glue it with scotch tape or stick glue.

4. Putting it all together

This time, let us put together all the layers or tiers.

    • First, put a plate as a flat form for our cake.
    • Second put the base layer
    • Next, put the hard cylinder paper in the middle. This will serve as the backbone of the layers to put them all together as one.
    • Put the second layer. Insert the cylinder paper into each layer's hole.
    • Put the smallest layer on top.

The last baby shower I went to, someone did this, and it was fantastic! It is a useful gift, as well as a beautiful gift to display. No need to even wrap it up! Thank you for giving instructions on how to make it. This is one of the most creative baby shower gifts I've seen.
