Easy as Pie Crocheted Scrubber - Free Pattern
I have 2 more skeins of carpet yarn left. For the longest time, I wanted to make crocheted scrubbers for my kitchen, however, I don't want to make an overly cute scrubber because I may not want to soil it if it's too cute. So I made these very simple and quick scrubbers. With 2 skeins you can make 5 scrubbers :)
2 skeins carpet yarn ( your choice of color ) , for this project I used Familia Carpet yarn.
Size 4.5mm or 5.00 mm crochet hook
CH - chain
HDC - half-double crochet
DC - double crochet
SL - slip stitch
Popcorn stitch - 4 DC together on next stitch
Row 1. Start with CH 16. DC on 3rd CH from hook, this is your turning chain and counts as 1 stitch. DC until the last CH. You should have 15 DCs. Turn.
Row 2. Ch 2, ( make Popcorn stitch on next stitch. HDC on next stitch) repeat for 7 times. You should have 15 stitches ( 7 popcorns ). Turn.
Row 3 to 7. Repeat Row 1 and 2 two more. Repeat Row 1 for your last row. On your last DC, do not cut yarn, add CH 7 then slip stitch on the next row. Weave in ends.
This is the charted version of the pattern .
I can't get enough of these scrubbies, I made several.

This is a very simple crocheted scrubber, the popcorn design is a clever way to further utilize the texture of this yarn. Carpet yarn are very rough and course, so these are perfect for scrubbers.
