Feather tattoos are a very popular tattoo symbol that is worn by both men and women. Feather tattoo designs come in a variety of different styles, shapes, and colors. Due to this fact, feather tattoos can be tattooed all over the body in various sizes. In this article, you will be able to view feather tattoo designs and hopefully gain great ideas for your feather tattoo.

One of the most popular feather tattoo designs is the break away feather tattoo design in the picture on the right. As far as tattoo designs, it is one of the most creative and unique tattoos available to you. You can clearly see the feather breaking away, which gives the tattoo the illusion of movement. This tattoo is quite large, but they can be done in smaller sizes and still look quite impressive. Some designs show the feather breaking up into birds.

The peacock tattoo design is another popular variation of feather tattoos. The picture on the right is a peacock tattoo. Peacock tattoos come in a variety of vibrant colors that stand out beautifully in such tattoo designs. Just as any feather tattoo, the peacock tattoo design can come in a variety of different shapes, sizes, and colors. There are a lot of examples in this article of peacock tattoo designs. You will be able to see the differences in each tattoo design. As you will see, some peacock feather tattoos are large while others are much smaller. Peacock tattoos may have long feathers or the peacock feathers may be short. In one peacock feather tattoo design, you may see green standing out more while others may have blue as the standout color. Peacock feather tattoos are very colorful and beautiful. Some peacock feather tattoos are done in solid black ink. Peacock feather tattoos give you plenty of options to weigh out and consider. Make sure you look at each peacock feather tattoo design closely and note the differences in each one.

Feather tattoo designs can also be very simple in color and design. Take the feather tattoo design on the right as an example. Some people prefer a simple feather tattoo design such as this one. In fact, this type of feather tattoo is quite commonly used. It is just your basic feather. Just like other feather tattoo designs, this type of feather tattoo can be done in any color or any size. Why peacock feathers have specific color patterns, these simple feather tattoo designs can be any color that you want them to be. They are simple, but they are cute, beautiful, and graceful. The color chosen for this feather tattoo is a great choice. The tattoo artist did a great job on the color shading on this tattoo, as well as the entire feather design.

The Native Americans had several purposes for feathers and this relationship is still alive today in Native American feather tattoo designs. One example of such tattoo designs can be seen in the first two pictures on the right. The Native Americans put feathers on clothing, tools, weapons, and they were also used to symbolize accomplishments. Native American feather tattoo designs can include stones, beads, bones, and bands. Native American feather tattoos often sport two feathers tied together. These feathers can also be used in dreamcatcher tattoo designs. There are several different ways that you can be creative when it comes to Native American feather tattoo designs. There are several examples in this article of the many designs of the Native American feather tattoo.

There are many things that you can do to create a unique tattoo design for yourself. The picture on the right is a great example of the tattoo artist being creative. As you already know, this is a peacock feather. Do you see what is different about the peacock feather? The entire peacock feather is not colored in this peacock feather tattoo design. The tip is colored while the rest of the feather is done in black ink. This is a great example of someone "thinking outside the box". Just another creative and unique way to portray a peacock feather.

Feather tattoos can also be designed with other tattoo symbols, phrases, quotes, or names. To understand what may be appropriate to include in a feather tattoo design, we have to understand what the feather tattoo represents and stands for. Feather tattoos represent freedom, independence, flight, and beauty. You may want to include appropriate symbols and words based on these meanings. This can give your feather tattoo meaning, rather then being tattoo art. Remember, you are the one that is going to where the design, what ever it may be. If you want to add stars or a heart, it is your decision and yours only. You may want to add your name or the name of another, as seen on the right. You can gain valuable ideas by looking at feather tattoo designs and by taking the time to do research on your own.

Feather tattoos are chosen for two main reasons, their symbolic meanings and for their beauty. The tattoo on the right is a great example of how beautiful feather tattoos can be. As you already know, the tattoo on the right is a peacock feather tattoo. Whether it is a peacock tattoo or not, feather tattoos offer a variety of beautiful designs sure to fit your personality.

You have now had a chance to view a variety of feather tattoo designs that are available to choose. You also learned a few of the many meanings behind the feather tattoo. It is very important to remember to take the time to do your own research before you choose a final design. You want to make sure the feather tattoo is what you really want. Don't rush to get a tattoo. Getting a tattoo is a big decision. Remember, your tattoo will be with you for the rest of your life. Make sure you take your time and choose a tattoo symbol and design that you are completely sure of.

One great thing about feather tattoos is the fact that they come in a variety of different designs, colors, and sizes. Due to this, you can get a feather tattoo inked nearly anywhere on the body. Men usually get feather tattoos on the arms, legs, or upper back. Women tend to get feather tattoos on their lower back, stomach, sides, and ankles. Feather tattoos are one of the most popular tattoo symbols available. The feather has so many associations to men and women, which is yet another reason why they are so popular.

I like these a lot, especially the peacock motif. But it's funny that I've never actually seen these in real life considering they are so attractive. Voting this Up and Beautiful.

What a beautiful hub! I love feathers...not sure if it is my long time interest in Native American culture, the fact that I love birds, or (as in the peacock feathers) the connection to the Hindu god, Krishna. Whatever it is, there is a spiritual connection there.

You've done a great job presenting this info, using the illustrations, and providing these interesting facts. I fount the 'break away' feather especially interesting, since I have not been familiar with that type before this hub. Thanks for sharing! Rated up/Interesting.
