Free Crochet Infinity Scarf Patterns
Infinity scarves are all the rage this year. What better way to create them, but with crochet. Here you'll find all of the free crochet patterns that you could need. There are tutorials to show you how to create your own pattern. Included are scarves worked in the round and scarves that are later sewn together when finished. One is featured that is buttoned together.
An infinity scarf is a long tube that is wound around the neck to create a cowl appearance. You can easily design your own. All you need is an extra long scarf and sew the ends together or work the scarf in the round.
Many of these designs give the measurements and you can just use those and use your own pattern stitch. When finished, just double wrap the scarf around your neck. If you crochet the scarf long enough, you can even triple wrap it or just wear it as an extra long scarf.
If using a different weight than bulky yarn, it helps to use a soft yarn and a larger hook than normal. This will give the scarf a better drape. Many of the scarves here are crocheted with extra bulky yarn. Lion Brand Extra Thick and Quick seems to be the popular choice.
I've used worsted weight and that provides an extra warm scarf. With that I use a size J hook.
