Indian Corn

Indian corn always makes a nice fall decoration. Use them before Thanksgiving as a fall centerpiece also. The corn gets its name because it was first raised in the Americas by different Indian tribes. If you look at regular field corn, it has a dent in the dried kernel that Indian corn doesn't have.

Indian Corn - The free pattern is offered by Create!. 2 strands of yarn were used in a variety of colors. Off-white yarn is needed for the husk. This would be a good way to use up some of your scrap yarn and make a realistic ear of Indian corn.

Indian Corn - Some of these crochet patterns are so realistic, they look like the real thing. This pattern uses a variety of yarns, so it is a good one to use up some of your leftover yarn. The free pattern is offered by Alicia Kachmar.

In the photo she provides, she used a combination of Homespun yarn and regular yarn. Depending on what size yarn she used different sized hooks were used. She explains changing hook sizes in her instructions.
