Fun Crafts for Kids with Used Clothes

Kids love to dress up any time of the year! That's part of why they love, love, love Halloween!! Create memories and have a fun afternoon making new creations.

HERO MASKS Create a stencil shape of a mask on a stiff surface and trace this onto the backside of a piece of cloth from any kind of clothing. Cut out. Make holes for long strings to tie on each side.

ANIMAL COSTUMES  Children all have animals that they like. Maybe ones whose sounds they like to imitate. Think of one your child would like and come up with an idea of how to recreate a replica of it- Be open-minded and play pretend. You be one too!

Stuffed sachets with fabric squares. A sewing needle, steady hand, some slight patience, and an appreciation for sweet trinkets will have you making bowls of homemade sashes- Prep your squares with sewn in hearts and flowers.

Roses with Fabric Strips. Buy cloth dye at a craft store. In glass bowls, dye white fabric various tones of red, pink, and purple. Lay out to dry. Scrunch and fold strips to resemble flowers. Sew back using heavy needle and thick thread.
