Loraine loves arts and crafts and used to volunteer at an elementary art class. She loves sharing fun and easy craft tutorials.

One of the most popular ways to introduce bold shapes and splashes of color to your home is with the fun and style of geometric's. An inexpensive way to incorporate geometric shapes into your home décor is with pillows, rugs and wall art that you have created yourself.

In this article I will share the art and craft projects that I have found, while searching for geometric craft ideas, which include instructions for making the craft.

You'll find the tutorial for making the wall art shown above at while they SNOOZE.

1. Painted Rug

This is such an inspirational project, and I've only just read through the tutorial. Definitely sounds easy enough to do, especially if following the directions closely. The tutorial is found at almost 40 year old intern.

2. Openwork Cube Pendant Light

A very modern look to a pendant light. One that will enhance the geometric style of decor. You'll find the instructions for making this pendant light at VINTAGE REVIVALS.

3. Painted Arrow Vase

To make this very attractive painted arrow vase, go to tifforelie for the instructions. I believe I would brush on a clear, flat sealer before painting the arrows in white. The sealer would make the paint adhere better to the glass.

4. Party Table Runner

Can you imagine how easy it would be to decorate for almost any occasion with this runner? Change the colors for a theme, for instance red, white and blue for a patriotic theme. The directions for making this party table runner is found at Ruffled.

A geometric laptop sleeve would make a nice gift for anyone, but especially for the man on your list. A super easy and useful item with directions found on the FABRIC PAPER GLUE site.

Check out the tutorial at tatertots & jello to see the ingenious way the circles are made on this rug. I love the idea that I could have a beautiful rug like this one with a bit of paint.
