Buy Glass Beads Online for Cheap

Updated on August 18, 2015

Glass Beads Online

Recently, I've started getting into bead necklaces and jewelry again, where I was once into the hobby before. I plan on going a different route with my bead jewelry this time, focusing on bead necklaces instead of bracelets, which is only slightly different.

But, I will also be focusing on Czech and crystal glass beads, versus on the seed beads and lampwork glass beads. I want to create more elegant jewelry versus the bulkier jewelry.

When I had the idea of getting back into making bead jewelry, I knew the first place I had to go was online. eBay has loads of sellers who offer lots and groups of beads for wholesale prices. This allows buyers to purchase large groups of beads for a cheaper price.

Buy Beads Online

There are some websites that cater to wholesale beads with discount prices, but I've never found anything cheaper than the auctions on eBay. There are many sellers that offer cheap bead prices, whether you're looking for tiny glass seed beads or large lampwork glass beads.

When looking for groups of beads, I suggest adding 'lot' or 'wholesale' to your search, as this will help narrow down your search. Instead of getting individual beads, the search will come up with groups of beads.

You may find that many of the wholesale bead auctions will be located in Hong Kong, which is fine but keep in mind that it takes an extra 20-30 days before you receive your product, depending on where you're located.

Personally, I buy ahead of time so that I can afford to wait the extra time. I would rather wait and get the super great deal on pricing.

When shopping on eBay, make sure that you're comfortable with the seller and the auction before you go and bid or buy. You don't want to get stuck with something that you don't want or can't use.

Because there are many different auctions to choose from, you want to search around and save auctions in your watched list so that you can compare pricing, shipping details, and any other features you may be interested in.

When you're ready, bid!

There are many different types of glass beads that you can choose from depending on what you're looking for. Just make sure that you check the size of the bead and the hole size of the bead. You want to make sure that you don't get a bead that will be too small or too large for the particular piece of jewelry that you're making.
