How To Draw A Cartoon Snail - Super Easy For Kids
This little cartoon snail is really fun to draw. And it's pretty easy, too. Go through this lesson step by step, and don't worry if you mess up. Just keep drawing til you're done.
Then draw it one more time.
The second drawing always looks better than the first one. And if you draw it a third time -- and you should -- then it'll look even better!
That's the secret to becoming a better artist and a better cartoonist.
Always redraw it!
The first time you try sketching something new, it always looks messed up. Nobody gets it exactly right the first time, not even professional artists. They make mistakes too! They just keep practicing and redrawing, and that's how they get better at it.
And you will too, okay?
Alright, then. Let's begin!
First draw the ground. It doesn't have to be perfectly straight.
Then draw the snail's shell floating just a little above the ground. We want to leave a little room to draw his body underneath the shell.
Next draw the tail.
Now draw the head. Make it nice and big so that there's plenty of room for his eyeball.
Now draw his eye.
Sometimes I prefer square eyes with rounded edges, but for this one I like a circle better, and I like to draw it pretty big. But it doesn't really have to be a perfect circle or square shape at all. Play around with some other irregular shapes and sizes too.
Now draw his 2 antennae (antennas), and he's done!
If you want, you can also draw a little smile on him, but I think he looks pretty cute without actually drawing the mouth.
