How To Draw Fantasy Creatures - Ideas Insights And Inspirations
Draw Fantasy Monsters And Creatures
Drawing fantasy creatures is about seeing what creatures are already established and trying to put your own spin on them, because ideas are running short as new design ideas become diluted more and more as many creative artists try and draw classic fantasy creatures in their own way. Here we will go through some ideas for drawing fantasy creatures and show some inspired drawing videos that will hopefully help you in your monster drawing creations.
Fantasy monsters come in all shapes and sizes and there are things like Wyrms which are loosely related to dragon serpents which you can draw in many different forms like actual monster Worms that are called Wyrms and so the first video is about drawing a simple Wyrm parasite which should be fun

The following video I created which is loosely based on the John Carpenter movie The Thing shows you step by step how to come up with a creature idea through building up your drawing much like a sculpture and you may find it intersting to see a drawing come alive and as usual you can skip to the end and see the final drawing or pause it at certain parts and have a go at drawing the creature.
Of course the drawing video is open to interpretation and you can go off and draw your own creature based on the content of the video and that is encouraged. Maybe the video has given you an idea to draw something else.

How To Draw That Classic - A Sea Creature
Drawing sea creatures always come to mind and drawing them emerge from the sea also helps too. In the two drawing videos to the right we can explore drawing a possible sea creature from the beginning pencil sketch to the final inked version of the monster. The drawing I tried to give it a Sea like appearance with the fins on the back of the creature and sea scales on the body of the sea monster.
Again, by watching the 2 videos you can come up with something that could be inspired by this Sea Creature drawing. When you do draw your Sea Creature try and draw variation on it like other parts of the monster emerging out of the sea with arms and also try and take some inspirations from real life creatures like Squids, Octopus's, Sharks and Whales.
