How to Make a Snowman Bottle Craft

Updated on October 31, 2011

With this project you can turn an empty bottle into a snowman bottle craft. Ever wondered what to do with all those empty pill bottles besides tossing them in the recycle container? Introducing a cute snowman bottle craft, which can be enjoyed all winter long and it's easy to do!

Things You'll Need

Empty pill bottle; prescription, vitamin, or aspirin. The choice is yours.

Craft pipe cleaners in white, red, green, black, orange and brown

Craft pompoms in black and grey

Your choice of glue

Clean the pill bottle thoroughly. Spray the label with some glass cleaner to remove as much of the paper and sticky residue as you can.

Twist a black pipe cleaner around the bottle to form a circle. The black pipe cleaner is going to be the bottom of your snowman pill bottles hat. Remove the cleaner from the pill bottle. Continue to twist upward for two to three more layers. Glue the ends of the pipe cleaner, by pulling them together, on the inside of the hat.

Leaving the lid attached, wrap a white pipe cleaner up and around the outside of the container. You will need to leave enough free space on the snowman bottle craft to be able to open and close the container. Be sure to wrap the entire bottle. As you are going along, place some glue along the way, attaching the pipe cleaner to the bottle.

Glue a piece of white craft pipe cleaner around the outside of the lid. One the bottom of the container, wrap another piece of white craft pipe cleaner and secure with glue.

The snowman pill bottle crafts scarf is made my simply twisting together one red and one green craft pipe cleaner.

Make the snowman pill bottle crafts arms by twisting the brown craft pipe cleaner around the end of a longer piece. Glue to the sides of the snowman.

Take a pompom that is large enough to cover the entire top of the pill containers lid and glue it. Wrap the scarf you made previously around the bottom of the pompom.

Take a tiny piece of orange pipe cleaner and glue it to the pompom for the snowman bottle crafts nose.

Add two more pompoms for the buttons and two more for the eyes. Glue them securely in place.

Glue the hat in place and you are all done.

Very cute craft idea! I'll have to try this out with some of my old pill bottles. Voted up. :)
