Create your own scrapbook room

Updated on August 27, 2012

This is every womans envy 'everything is where it should be'.

Made for a princess use your colours

Keeping it white is right choose modern

Scrapbook rooms is all about creating a happy place, to store scrapbooking punchers, cardstock, embellishments, ribbon and glues. Including your craft machines like your circuit, cuttlebug and sewing machine. This lets you organise a better function to access your materials in a hurry.

So to get this right. We must always have storage, organisers, desk and selving. So you can work in a more easy, relaxed and stressfree environment. This really works who actually likes a messy room....arghhh not me. So keeping it magical is about keeping it clean.

Follow my steps to creating your very own scrapbook "Wonderland".

Decorate paint your bedroom walls in your favorite colour. You may also like to create a theme around your own quote "Imagination is more important than knowledge ~ Albert Einstein. I love to buy a cheap cork board and cover in fabric to attach my family and friends photo's. It adds a nice touch, even instead of buying ornaments you could buy 'budget buys' instead like small garden pots and cover the middle with materials. From your t-shirts, jeans, dresses or scrapbook paper so many ways to save on your very own scrapbook room.

Plan first 'always' especially when buying furniture such as a desk or storage wall you must also measure before buying. There is many options for shopping on a budget try secondhand, garage sales or daily papers. For organisers you must, write down what you need such as you may need a paper holder for cardstock, baskets for glues and jewellery stand for clip it ups. Remember it's only necessary to buy only what you need.

Arrange so now you have should have decorated and planned...yes, right! it's time to use your visual merchandising skills to set up your room. Here is some hints. Start from your desk you should be able to grab all your projects quickly so place your glass jars of flowers, buttons and stamps on a shelf, directly on the wall connected to your desk. If you like place a bathroom rod and use to place your punchers on that wall as well (these will need to be drilled into the wall on both sides - get your hubby to help) Stickers, tape and ribbon can be placed into small or medium baskets onto your wall unit. Ribbon and tools can be place on a peg board, which is much affordable you will need hook kit also. Get creative use a little bit of imagination and inspire yourself with my pictures (above).

I hope, I've made a good impression with my simple and fun ideas. When starting up your very own scrapbook room. If your still looking for that dream place try looking at youtube or checkout my favorite video (below) you may find this educational and informative.

At the moment, I don't have a craft room but I plan on making one! Thankyou so much, sorry I haven't been on hub pages for a while but came back to wonderful comments today. Sometimes we don't want it all.. just a craft room is enough. I seem to gather more idea's just from pictures. I hope one day you get your dream room!

I would love love love a craft room. And a library. But mostly a craft room. I would keep all my craft books in there, though, so they were a easy reach when I needed them..... Most women dream of their wedding, or having kids... I dream of a super organised craft room. Voted up, beautiful and awesome!

It will take a while to get mine looking that organized. I pick up organizers ever chance I get. Will cost a little less when I get an ikea store nearby. It is a nice dream for now. Thanks for sharing some different room ideas.

Beautiful room and great ideas. My crafty area is in the living room but set up really nicely. I love the spot because I'm where the action is.
