Learn to knit super quick

Updated on February 14, 2016

Step 1

Firstly, make sure you have all your knitting tools. You wil need:

.Knitting needles - 9mm is the easiest to knit with.

.Yarn/Wool - any kind will do as a beginer.

Step 2

Next, you need to learn the basic types of knit which are cast on, long tail cast on, purl and knit.

Step 3

Following from the picture above now you get an idea lets start.

Take your wool and on the end tie a slip knot. To tie a slip knot wrap the wool around your finger once and wrap it diagonally once across from where you wraped it first, and then pull.

You should now have a slip knot place it on one of your knitting sticks and pull to make tight but don't make it too tight.

Now with your other knitting needle place it through the slip knot we just made and make sure the knitting needle you just put through is behind the first one.

Once you've done that wrap the wool around the back needle, and bring that needle down through the knot pulling it.

You should now some kind of knot on both your needles, now from the one you just made put it on the other needle so you have two on one needle.

Well done you just made a cast on!
