In Search of a Rainbow Millionaire

A Rainbow From Beginning to End

Nature's Serendipity

The scope of the weather changed into a cloudy day, and fit in with my mood of not wanting to focus on anything anyway. For usually at this time of night I am already in the computer room trying to write. So thank you for the cloudy day slump. That way I was in the right room at the right time to participate in this magnificent display of nature.

Thank you that I was watching TV in the den with my family. The wind had picked up, so I stayed in this room watching old movies. I could tell that sun was trying to set by the glow on the trees. I thought I had heard it rain a little bit, I couldn't tell if it was just the breeze blowing the rain in the trees. Then I could hear the rain pitter patter on the porch.

Time for a walk for sure. I so love watching and taking pictures of storms. As soon as I stood up I saw the hints of the rainbow. I put on my shoes and coat and hat faster than I ever have before. Only tiny sprinkles of rain on the car now, so yes, perfect time to go out now that the rain had slowed to a drizzle.

With all these beautiful sunset views I was running back and forth taking pictures. I never saw a more dramatic rainbow than this one in the field of trees. It was quite amazing really, but nature usually is. Especially when she catches us by surprise.

Now I am glad. Serendipity is always with me. When I pay attention, when I open my eyes to see. I will hold onto this memory as a million dollar experience, for it does hold tremendous value, something we so seldom see around here in the trees, such a rainbow, full of promise.

A promise after every heavy rain shower the sun comes out and a rainbow forms somewhere.

A promise of a new day dawning, no matter what it was like the day before.

A promise that this rainbow will not just sit there waiting for us, it will pass on through the horizon. It is up to me to run out and capture the memory of it, open my heart up to the glory of it.

Millionaire Joy

That is what I love about nature photography, being able to relive that special moment we serendiptiously caught on camera, in the right moment. It is a gratifying feeling so very hard to explain. Photos do the talking.

I saw 3 lines of purple, I don't think this camera caught the vivid vividness of such a close, full color rainbow. But ice certainly did, thank you, thank you. I am still amazed. The splendor of it, the magic of it. The passion of the red, orange, blue and gold.

Blue and yellow stood out so proud as the sun shifted into its setting position. Part of me is calling, please don't go to the rainbow, the other part of me is running to and fro to get another beautiful angle. I know it must go, don't want it to.

Thankful for the Mystery

Captured Rainbow

Thank you for the beautiful rainbow. I haven't ever seen one brighter. This is the closest I can remember being to such a beautiful rainbow in all my life. Thank you for waking me up in time, for getting my coat and shoes on fast enough, for knowing where my camera was.

It is beautiful to be out here, taking all these pictures. Thank you that I had updated my camera for fresh photos, full batteries, ready to grab and run. Thank you for all the wonderful views I got, right in front of me!

Lighting will no longer be just right. Sending us now a faded memory. Then as quickly as I thought it, the final pink glow out the window, then suddenly, it was a faded memory.

Thankfully, I have these wonderful pictures to remember it by. As I turned to disappointment, it all disappeared and faded so fast the golden clouds beckoned me to walk to the West. I had wanted to walk tonight anyway now I know why, and I am glad I did.

I love to look up into the sky. I continued my walk down the country road, remembering the days when I lived close enough to drive down to the beach on nights like this. The watching it is hard for words to express as the rest of the setting sun goes over the water.

Every time, every single time, a rainbow crosses the sky I am in awe. Not one ever makes me feel anything but humble. Such beauty unrivaled by anything we can create.

And so lucky are we that we can freeze them for a bit on our cameras and in our minds.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Angels are on the way and many blessings for a happy New Year ps
