Knit It

My Favorite Item To Knit

I don't Know how you feel about it, as I can only speak for myself, but I am always on the look out for new to me patterns of dishcloths to knit. I love to knit while I am watching television.

Although I do knit other items, knitting a dishcloth is by far my favorite item to knit. Maybe because they are small, making them easy to carry around and because it doesn't take long to make .I can quickly see results and feel the satisfaction of a completed project.

Having said that, I have found the following patterns and placed them here for you to enjoy as well.

Cookie Jars

If you love homemade cookies, then this fresh from the oven Cookie Jar Dishcloth will remind you of those delicious treats. The pattern is free...

If you love homemade cookies, then this fresh from the oven Cookie Jar Dishcloth will remind you of those delicious treats. The pattern is free...

This would make a great gift ..Bake up a batch of cookies, put them in a jar and gift them to your favorite cookie lover along with the cookie jar dishcloth you have knit in their favorite colors.

Square Lattice Dish-Cloth

I love the sharp look and clean lines of this dishcloth, it is knit in a square lattice design by using criss-cross columns with the squares being a seed stitch.

However, although this pattern is not offered free...

I do feel it is well worth the purchase price of $1.99

Knit The States

Knit The States Or The Canadian Provinces

This could be lots of fun!.How about knitting up a dishcloth of the state that you live in. Or if you are bored and just want to knit something or really looking to keep busy knit one up for your friends that live in different States. The dishcloth pictured is of the US Eagle. The pattern is free. Here you can also find patterns depicting the Army, Navy and Coast guard...Have fun!

Mystery KAL (knit along)

Have you ever joined a knit along?

A knit along is when you are given a part of a pattern,(a section at a time) to knit. You are told what you will need to for the project. Yarn, size of needle etc. You will not get to see what it will look like. It is a complete surprise.

Who doesn't like a mystery?

How about giving it a try?

I think KAL'S are really fun. I guess I like that element of surprise!

If this is something that you think you may enjoy then you need to hop on over and check out the blog Kris Knits. She has a knit along dishcloth for every month 2010- 2013 I believe..there may be more, not sure of that though.

On her blog she features some really beautiful knit patterns, and shares other things as well, like recipes. Some are free and some are for purchase.

A beautiful blog that you wont want to miss out on ..Pay her a visit you will be glad you did. Her patterns are also available on Ravelry!

Of course you will see no image here as that would spoil the surprise

Another fun project to knit....Tribbles also called Scrubbies are one of my favorite gift giving knits. They are the perfect gift for the kitchen, But they are also great for the bath..My girls absolutely love then in the shower..I love them for scrubbing my face. When using cotton yarn it gives me just enough scrub with out scratching. Enjoy! I know you will have fun making a ton of these!

This pattern can be found when visiting the blog : Wishing I was Knitting at the Lake
