Knitting And Crocheting For The Bath..Free Patterns
Cotton
Cotton Yarn
Ahh yes COTTON...
Cotton is a soft fluffy fiber that grows in a pod known as a cotton boll. Most often the cotton fiber is spun into a yarn or thread.
Cotton is a natural fiber, the yarn tends to be less elastic, retains less warmth, and yet can be stronger than woolen type fibers.
In my honest opinion it is the best type of yarn to use in the bath area.
It is soft, absorbent, washable and durable as well as kid friendly.
Cotton yarn is now available in most colors, making it nice when it comes to finding the color we need for our décor.
It can be purchased in a wide variety of solid colors, as a variegated yarn or self stripping.
Caring For Cotton
Items that are made with cotton yarn are for the most part suitable for machine washing and drying,
In either warm or cold water and then dried on a medium setting.
Be sure to use caution
It is important check the washing instructions before washing or drying. This is important not only for shrinkage but also for color fastness.
What a shame it would be to put your hard work and money into knitting or crocheting an item, only to have it then ruined in the washer or dryer..
Important To Know 100 % cotton will shrink when washed in hot water

Comments
Lots of great ideas - it's a pity I'm not better at crocheting, but I'd still like to try some of these, they look great.
What a wonderful idea for your bathroom. I learned to crochet years ago, but haven't done so in a long time. Now that I have lots of time on my hands, I have been looking up patterns to try. Thanks for sharing, I will add this to my collection.
