The Art of Making Jewelry With Wire
The art of wire jewelry is a craft that dates back to biblical times. Pieces of wire jewelry have been found in the Egyptian pyramids and tombs of the Pharaohs!
With the wide array of wire and beads available in craft stores and on line in today's world, the pieces of jewelry that can be made are as endless as they are beautiful.
Trust me, I know of wire's addictive powers, so be careful, because once you get started, the sky is the limit to what you can create.
When you start out making wire jewelry, you may feel a little awkward, for lack of a better word. Learning how to twist and manuever the wire is something you will get better at the more you do it. I promise you that if you give it time, it will become like second nature to you.

What Will I Need To Get Started?
When you make wire jewelry, you will only need a few supplies to get started and most of them are inexpensive. I personally wouldn't over-invest in a craft unless I was sure I liked it first so perhaps starting out simple is best.
There are many jewelry tool kits to select from online and in stores. I would recommend a local craft store for selecting a kit because you could use a 40% off coupon (link below) as this will probably the most expensive thing you have to buy in order to begin.
Jewelry tool kits are mostly comprised with the same compilation of about six different tools. As long as you have the basics, you should be good to go. In other words, I wouldn't buy the pieces separately because it would be too expensive.

Where to Buy Supplies for Making Wire Jewelry
In my opinion, having the right supplies to make wire jewelry will be your key to success in this craft.
You can find many of these supplies in your local craft stores such as Michaels, A.C. Moore, Hobby Lobby, or JoAnn Fabrics. If you choose to purchase them there, don't forget to use your weekly coupon!
Here is a link to the one I access on my phone at A.C. Moore. I'm fairly certain that each of the above-mentioned stores accept each other's coupons so whichever one you find online easiest to access can be used though you can only use one coupon during a purchase.
You can also find everything to get started to making wire jewelry on Amazon. I would suggest starting out with inexpensive wire when you are the learning phase of working with wire.
When you feel more comfortable with using the tools (and after you ruin or break a few pieces, lol!) only then you should purchase higher quality wire. It's up to you of course.
I've connected a link to some products that I use below. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
