Makies Interlocked Crochet Dress (Free Crochet Pattern)
After finishing the wig from How to Make a Doll Wig, I wanted to make a dress so my Makies doll will be ready to go out in something other than her pajamas. For this design, I got inspired by this post on Pinterest regarding interlocking crochet. The link was not in English, but the pictures were enough to give me the idea on how to make the stitch pattern.
This hub is a free crochet pattern for a Makies Interlocked Crochet Dress. It features an interlocking crochet stitch pattern for the skirt to complete the design.
Use metallic thread to add sparkles to the project.

Round 2 (RS): Ch 2 (does not count as dc from here throughout), dc in the first sc, (ch 1, sk 1 sc, ch 1, dc in the next sc) across, ch 1, join with sl st in the 2nd dc to form a tab, do not turn. Remove the hook from the loop. (30 dc, 30 ch-1 sps)
Round 3: With CC, ch 56, weave the chain into the holes formed in Round 2 (like a drawstring tie, alternating under and over). Repeat the pattern in Round 2, alternating the dc's by going over the ch-1 sps and then under the ch-1 sps from previous Round, join with sl st in the first dc. Remove the hook from the loop. (28 dc, 28 ch-1 sps) See photos below for more information.
Note: Before you join the Rounds starting from Round 3, make sure you place the previous color in the side you want to begin on for the next Round, whether it is in front or in the back).
Round 4: Go back to the free MC loop from Round 2, ch 2, dc in the first ch-1 sp, (ch 1, sk dc, dc in the next ch-1 p) around, alternating the dc's by going under and then over the CC color from the previous Round, ch 1, join with sl st in the 1st dc. Remove the hook from the loop.
Round 5: Go back to the free CC loop from Round 3, repeat the pattern from Round 4, only this time, going back to alternating between over and then under.
Note: Once you have established the pattern, you will notice that you go under and over for the MC, while you go over and under for the CC. See photos below for more information.
Round 6-13: Repeat Rounds 4-5. Fasten off the CC color at the end of Round 13.
Round 14: Repeat Round 4, do not remove the hook from the loop and do not change color.
Round 15: Ch 1, dec in the next dc, ch-1 sp around, join with sl st in the first sc. (30)
Round 16: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join with sl st in the first sc. (30)
Fasten off and weave in all ends. Sew in 2 pieces of snaps at the top and the waist.
