Mickey Bag (Tunisian Crochet)
I was watching a video on Youtube, A lady had made a beautiful Mario blanket with the help of Tunisian Crochet. I was so thrilled with the idea that I tried to make something for myself. Up came the idea of Making this cool Mickey bag.
Tunisian Crochet is done with a long crochet hook, with a stopper at the end. Being longer in size than the crochet hook, it helps to pick up more stitches at a time. With the help of graphs and different patterns, a whole new scenery can be created, from cartoon characters to human portraits.
One can make different things with their own imaginations, from bags to blankets and even some accessories.
Let's See how to do the Tunisian Basic Stitch
Any size Tunisian Crochet Hook
Ball of Yarn.
How to Do: I will make a really 2 line project to show the stitch.
Insert hook in the 3rd ch from the hook. Yarn over and pull up a loop. (Now you have 2 loops on the hoop)
Insert hook in each ch and pull up a loop. Total 9 loops.
Yarn Over and pass through one loop. *Yarn over and pass to two loops. Continue from the * till you have 1 loop on the hook.
Standing Posts are formed. To start the Second Row,
Insert the hook through the first post, Yarn over and pull a loop. Continue doing this till the end of the row.
Now As we did in row 1,
Yarn over and pull through one loop, *yarn over and pull through 2 loops. Continue from * till you have one loop on the hook.
When you have enough length of your Project, Fasten off.
Note - Always end with the Reverse Pass.
