Mickey Crochet Mobile cover

Updated on July 15, 2013

Here is the pattern for the mickey mobile cover. I was inspired to make this mobile cover by a wrist warmer. I loved the idea and gave it my own twist. This pattern is same as the the pattern from the crochet covers. Lets Begin!

Materials:

Red Heard Super Saver: Red

Red Heart Super Saver: Yellow ( I used Gold)

Red Heart Super Saver: Black

Red Heart Super Saver: White

H/8 5 mm Crochet Hook

Tapestry Needle

Pair of Scissors

Pattern

Measure your phone. It is important to make a stitch or two larger than the actual Mobile size.

Please refer to the Pattern in the link above.

Notes:

  1. Start with Yellow or Gold (as the image above).
  2. After crocheting a few lines, depending on the size of your phone, add red.
  3. Similarly after a few rows add black and make the flap with the black.
  4. Fasten Off.

Ears: (Make 2 Black)

Chain 2.
Round 1: 6 SC in 2nd Ch from hook. SL st in first SC.
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 SC in each SC around. SL st in first SC. (12 sc)
Round 3: Ch 1, (SC in next SC, 2 SC in next SC) around. SL st in first SC. (18 sc) Fasten off.

Buttons: (Make 2 White)

Chain 2.
Round 1: 6 SC in 2nd Ch from hook. SL st in first SC.
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 SC in each SC around. SL st in first SC. (12 sc)

Do not cut off the tails on any of the four circles made. With the help of the tapestry needle and the tails, sew the circles as shown in the picture.

Sew the Black circles for ears, between the fold for the flap and the cover.

White Circles to be sewed in between in the red part of the cover.

For Fun - Tail: (optional)

Ch 12 and Fasten off.

Two Ways to Sew the tail.

  1. Just sew one or two chain and let the other chain hanging.
  2. Sew each and every chain to the back of the mobile cover.

Sewing the Ears and Buttons:

  1. Sew the Ears where the flap begins.
  2. Sew the buttons on the back side in the red part of the cover.
