My Favorite Artists: Charles Wysocki
Charles Wysocki puzzles?
I first discovered Charles Wysocki at Wal-mart. Yes, Wal-mart. I was with my mother, shopping, and she told me to pick out a puzzle for her. The Charles Wysocki line just drew me in!
During the winter months, my mother liked to work puzzles to pass the time when it was just too cold to be outside. Some she would even glue together to make wall hangings. One year, I helped her with one and it's the Charles Wysocki I have posted here. I treasure it not only because we worked on it together, but because my dad made the frame for it. I know that puzzles aren't exactly fine art, but I like it.
Until recently, I didn't know too much about Mr. Wysocki. I was happy just appreciating his art. Thanks to Google and a free afternoon, I now know a few facts that I'd like to share.
