Saturation or Intensity
Saturation refers to a color's intensity.
- how different it is from pure grey.
•On a hot day you might choose highly saturated colors.
•On a foggy day you would choose low saturation (toned down).
You can lower the saturation by
•toning down with grey
(or a color's complement)
choosing different tubes of color
