Saturation or Intensity

Saturation refers to a color's intensity.

- how different it is from pure grey.

•On a hot day you might choose highly saturated colors.

•On a foggy day you would choose low saturation (toned down).

You can lower the saturation by

•toning down with grey

(or a color's complement)

choosing different tubes of color

This is really useful. I'm sure it will be clicked on a lot on-line and that many people will find it helpful. Your illustrations are so clear, too.
