Photographers taking time for the Grandkids

Updated on January 1, 2015

Observation of the obvious

Observing the tradition of a freelance photographer, which is to shoot as often as possible, and never doubt your intuition. Because of that over the recent months I have been really trusting in just capturing what I like, even though I have doubts that it would lead me to anything other than having another digital image on the hard drive.

It has been fun, especially on the occasions when I've run across others who were just like me, and having a good time with their camera. As a grandfather at times I have the occasional grandchild that will not notice that my level of excitement and fun things to do, maybe boring to others. As in this image you see here another photographer with a grandchild in tow on the sands of Marina del Rey, California. As the sun is setting he's probably lost himself in the fun of having his next generation with him while he was capturing the day, and now as the sun is setting he's also put down the camera and is giving proper time to the youth.

This was a fun capture because I thought maybe on somebody else's hard drive they may have captured me doing pretty much the same thing.

Time well spent
