Photography: Shoo Fly

Updated on January 18, 2010

This is one of those "I wish I had a great macro lens" shots! I try my best to randomly step out and shoot whatever is around me. I happened to be in my backyard taking shots of flowers when I noticed this fly sitting at the edge of a leaf. Unfortunately this was the absolute closest I could get without an added macro lens to my Canon SLR while staying in focus. A good 200mm lens is definitely being added to my wish list!

There are many online to choose from varying from different price ranges. One I've looked over so far is on Amazon. It is the Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens made for the Canon SLR which is what I have. It yours for $159.00. They can get to be pricy, but it's for you to decide...This seems to be a good deal!
