Pin-Up Girls - Art

Updated on September 15, 2015

Made popular in the 1940s and 1950s, pin-up art captures beautiful women in suggestive poses. Whether these pin-up ladies are captured on the phone, playing guitar, watering flowers, or fixing a flat tire. Their appeal is powerful and that's without having to hardly bare anything. These pin-up gals were brought to life beautifully by being dressed in clothing that was popular during that era, as were their hairstyles, and make-up. Even the shapes of their bodies fit the era, having full busts, slim waists, and large hips. They were "the girl next door" type, who seemed innocent, friendly, and attractive without being aware, or even having to tr, as they were caught in off-guard situations. They are the cuties drawn by the hands of talented artists, such as; Gil Elvgren, Alberto Vargas ,Peter Driben, and Joyce Ballantyne, just to name a few. Actually, Peter Driben was known as the most productive pin-up artist of the 1940s-1950s. These ladies drawn by the skillful hands of some of the greatest artists of our time, are classic beauties in their own right!

The nostalgic beauty of pin-up art will always be remembered... yesterday, today, and forever! Enjoy the art and the video!! :)
