Recycle Scrap Metal Art
Scrap Metal Art
Artist Bob Dylan's Scrap Metal Gates
Bob Dylan came from an industrial blue collar town in Hibbing, Minnesota. Surrounded by iron ore was natural setting for him. Working with discarded scrap metal and making something beautiful from it is a gift. Building art from odds and ends of material is a challenge. It is a passion for the true artist. They just have a unquenchable thirst and desire to create art.

The Artist
Artist's have many talents. Talent has many facets. Some artists act, write or paint. Bob Dylan was awarded a Nobel prize in 2016 for literature. I was glad to hear that he was presented with this prestigious award. He has attained one Oscar and 11 Grammy awards in his lifetime. One of the few artist that had tremendous talent as a lyricist.

In His Own Words
This is a good time to have Bob Dylan tell you how he feels about his "Mood Swings" Exhibit in his own words.
“I’ve been around iron all my life ever since I was a kid. I was born and raised in iron ore country – where you could breathe it and smell it every day. And I’ve always worked with it in one form or another.
Gates appeal to me because of the negative space they allow. They can be closed but at the same time they allow the seasons and breezes to enter and flow. They can shut you out or shut you in. And in some ways there is no difference.”

Bob Dylan Today
Bob's designs have expanded to Whiskey bottles. For 2018, Bob will be on tour to Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore, followed by several stops in Australia with the last whistle stop in New Zealand. Good times had by all I'm sure.
