Sand Sculptures on the Beach - Beach Sand Art - Sand Castles
Sand Sculpting
Sand Art is defined as the practice of molding sand into an artistic form. The two basic ingredients used when making sand art are : Sand and water. What used to be seen as a past time for children when vacationing on the beach has now grown into something much bigger.
Adults and professional artist now participate in sand sculpture competitions and travel around the world building beautiful creations out of sand. One of the largest sand castles ever built was over 18 feet high.
Companies have made lots of money by offering sand art for events and promotions. Sand Sculptors will create beautiful sand sculptures to bring in curious beach goers and to create crowds to promote businesses. Similar to ice sculptures. Sand sculptures do not last forever and their beauty is soon destroyed, but still the work is amazing. It takes a very talented group of people and also a very patient group of people to build these beautiful but temporary works of art.
