Simple Trinket Bag - a free pattern

Materials used:

Monaco Acrylic Yarn ( or any worsted weight yarn) in two colors.

Color A for body ( green in sample ) and Color B for ribbon

3.75mm crochet hook


Notes:

Gauge is not important; use whatever hook that matches your preferred yarn. Size varies depends on your choice of yarn.


Legend:

SC - Single Crochet

HDC - Half Double Crochet

DC - Double Crochet

TC -Treble Crochet

CH - Chain

SL - Slip Stitch

Instructions:

Row1. With color A , make 10 SC on magic ring. SL in first S. CH 1, turn.

Row 2. 2 SC on each SC ( 20 ST ). SL in first SC. CH 1, turn.

Row 3. ( 1 SC on first, 2 SC on next ) repeat around. SL in first SC. CH 1, turn.

Row 4. SC on each ST. SL in first ST. CH 2, turn.

Row 5. DC on each ST. SL in first ST. CH 2, turn.

Row 6. Repeat Row 5, until Row 11.

This is the eyelet row:

Row 12. 2 HDC, CH 2, skip 2 ST, ( around ). SL in first ST. CH 4, turn.

Row 13. (2 TC on each HDC, 3 TC on each CH-2 space ) Repeat around. SL in first ST.


Picot Edge:


Row 14. (CH 3, SL on bottom of ST. SL on next 3 ST. ) repeat around. Weave in ends.


With Color B, CH 45. Cut yarn, and tie a knot on each end. Use this and insert on the eyelet row.
