Surreal Art: Critique The Piece

Surreal art, often thought of as a new phenomenon, actually started back in the 1920's in Paris during world war one. Surreal Art was a cultural movement, the art thrives on amazement, curiosity and shock value. We will be critiquing about 11 pieces today, remember everyone has a different interpretation of what they feel the piece means, so there are no wrong answers, lets begin with example 1. My Interpretation A teacher tries to teach a young girl, everything he has seen throughout his life time, therefore he has many eyes and many stories to tell. Your Interpretation?

Example 2 My Interpretation: The gold fish in the bowl got tired of being enslaved, they devised a plan and took there owner captive and decided to make him see what it feels like to be trapped in a bowl all day. Your Interpretation?

Example 3 My Interpretation The humans of this land have destroyed it with there selfishness, the women sitting in the background wanted nothing to do with it, but her husband was all for it. He doesn't know how to face his wife, so his face crumbles in his hands, the same hands that helped ruin there land. Your interpretation?

Example 4 My Interpretation She holds her heart in her hands, it is all she has to offer, after her body has been taken by so many men. Your Interpretation?

Example 5 My Interpretation Always watch the words coming out of your mouth, words can be used to hurt and destroy, they can also used for love and uplifting. Your Interpretation?

Example 6 My Interpretation Animal sounds are like music to our ears, with it there would be no beautiful music. Your Interpretation ?

Example 7 My Interpretation This is a photograph of mother nature, she became one with the trees, as she becomes one with every element or living thing on this earth, she becomes a part of it. Your interpretation?

Example 8 My Interpretation During the day she has to be prim and proper, but at night after midnight she can take her mask off and be the colorful wild peacock on the inside. Your Interpretation?

Example 9 My Interpretation This eye has cried so many tears it has developed a lake, each time the eye cries, it is 2 tears in a bucket. Your Interpretation?

Example 10 My Interpretation The fire of life is inside this flower, all the towns people gather and dance and sing because the flower as has given them life. Your Interpretation?

Example 11 My Interpretation Starting the morning off breaking an egg is the spice of life, The egg yolk lights up the world with its light, so we can be energized for our entire day. Your interpretation ?

      Hi Cherrycrime! I actually like your interpretations. I see Example 3 as the history of man coming full circle. The world started with the two and after years of destructive ways, it ends with the two.

      This was great!
