The Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal at Agra is a jewel of Indian Art. The white Mausoleum was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife Mumtaj Mahal.
Shahjahan in the memory of Mumtaj Mahal,
Decreed his men to construct the Taj Mahal.
Being one of the Masterpieces of the World's Heritage,
Was built by artisans and craftsmen of the age.
The Love Story involved is inspirational,
Ustad Lahuri, the architect was very traditional.
Situated at Agra, in India,
Is a symbol of Mughal Insignia.
Islamic, Persian, Turkish and Indian styles embedded,
This white Marble Mausoleum was flawlessly created.
Having its height fixed at seventy three meter,
Was created between 1632 and 1653, by men utterly eager.
To the North of Yamuna stands the 'Moonlight Garden',
While the terrace area includes the Tomb as its curtain.
On a side is the bazaar,
Having its own beauty without any scar.
The Sun and the Moon shed their tears of joy,
On seeing this edifice built so far away from Troy.
It only displays its Creator's glory,
Having an onion dome which is hoary.
