Fun To make Paper Dolls

Updated on January 5, 2013

These days, there are so many toys and dolls that children are "forced" to ask for. Popular and cute with pink clothes and real hair.
Some mothers love Barbie so much that they introduce them early for her girls like there is no option. I do not say that everything about bought toys is bad, I only claim that they should have more choices.

I can notice on my granddaughter's smiles, that they love to draw, paint and make their own toys. There are so many cheap and easy ways to make at heater, a dollhouse or apaperdoll. Then play with the paperdolls in the theater. Make them play known fairy tales or new invented stories. Why not take an exciting scene from the Bible or the real life story, that they can turn into a mini theater play?

The hat has just a cut to fit

When you make the clothes and accessories who say you MUST use only paper? Go ahead and have fun with pearls, laces, yarn and whatever you find in your sewing drawer.

Once when my child was making doll clothes, he took a piece of material in the middle of my new bought, folded cloth. He did not think about taking the little square in a corner. The piece was going to be a carpet in a dollhouse he had made by himself.

I loved paper dolls as a kid and I wasn't too crazy about dolls. This is a great idea for little girls today and teach them to be creative, who knows one may become a clothing designer on day!

I remember playing with paper dolls when I was a youngster and actually had more fun with those than the real dolls. Much more room for imagination to run free. Useful hub!
