Vintage Postcard Images from My Personal Collection Of Antique Postards - Flowers
Here are images from two more sets from my antique postcard collection. All of these postcards are from the early 1900's, specifically from 1909 to about 1913 (according to the postmarks on the ones that have postmarks). I find an interesting fact about the first set. All but one of them are not embossed, but instead have a shiny surface. The one that differs has a matte surface and is embossed. I wonder if they all came either way. Normally I prefer the embossed cards, but the colors in this set are so vibrant and the flowers so beautiful that I had to have them.
These cards have a series number printed on the back and it seems I have most of them from that particular series. The series number has the number 235 and then a letter after it, the first one starting with the letter G. I noticed that I have a vertical card with the same series number, but the letter A. I'm thinking that the vertical cards perhaps went from A-F. I'll have to be on the look out for B-F now.
The second set of cards have no identifying features on the back, as how most of these types of postcards are.
The following set is one of my (many) favorites. Notice how each one has a different border. I love the little scenes of colonial figures, too.
