Tadpoles Zazzle Art Gallery

Our Zazzle Art Gallery contains funny online art, original art, unique prints and custom cards. Beautifully executed images, bizarre humor, inspiring designs, and excellent draftsmanship are everyday items in Tadpoles Virtual Art Gallery. Poet, Tragedian and Musician Oliver Tadpole has a second string to his bow that few people outside our immediate local neighbourhood are aware of.

Tadpole is also shy of computers, so I represent him here. As an artist trained in fine arts (yes, not graphics, I do those) he produces original and sometimes stunning pieces of work. He has an original way of thinking that in an age in love with the simple and stark tends to lie in forgotten corners but many see his work and fall in love with its imagination and delicacy. In this lens I plan to showcase art prints I have uploaded to Zazzle on his behalf.

Spirit of the Corn Poster - Elfin Corn Spirit Print

Who is the Spirit of the Corn?

I wasn't quite sure who or what this little elfin guy was, but I liked the picture, so I asked Tadpole. He wasn't sure either, but said he was a little corn spirit or sprite of some kind and would bring a bountiful harvest and good fortune. That was good enough for me!

A Screech Owl Poster for Halloween?

This screech owl print is still a Tadpole original. He calls it The Hunter and the Haunted. You can find it in our posters and prints section. "Stick 'em up, Fevas!"

Keeping One Eye Open Poster

Tabby Cat Watching Mouse Cartoon Print

The original of this is framed and hangs over my TV. It is just adorable. A cat sleeps, keeping one eye open, whilst a sleepwalking mouse tiptoes past, his terrified friend in hot pursuit, complete with candlestick. It always makes me think of that poem "'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...." Don't know why, it just does!

Persian Empress Poster With Starfish

Persian Cat with Starfish Print On Sale

One of my very favourite Oliver Tadpole paintings hangs on my bedroom wall. It is an oil on MDF portrait of my first rescue Persian, my namesake Photahsiamirabel. Today we removed her briefly from her frame and scanned her so that we could share her image with you, and here it is in both naturalistic colours and digitally enhanced for those who like their art bold and bright!

Flower Girl Print For Sale

Monoprint, Girl with Flowers in her Hair

Flower Girl is a monoprint, a technique that produces only one copy, and Tadpole has found a home for the original, but before he did I persuaded him to let me upload the image to Zazzle so more people could enjoy it. Here she is:

A3 Scanner for Artists and Designers Review - Great Value Product - A3 Scanner is a must for artists

Unless you work in digital media, you will need a scanner for your art projects. Tadpole is still a little technophobic so he works on paper and canvas and I scan. This is the scanner I use to showcase Tadpole's artwork online. This A3 scanner was a godsend to us, cheap, reliable and inexpensive!

The Tree With Its Head In The Clouds Print

A surrealist painting for treehuggers?

This is wistful and surrealist. The dreaming tree spirit has a grandmotherly look to me....

This A3 scanner is incredible value for money. It does the same things that larger office A3 scanners do at a fraction of the price. Without it, we would be back to taking shots with a digital camera under bright light which is not at all easy! The only drawback? Quality is so good you will need to resize your files for making smaller prints! Can't be bad!

Bellydancing Camel Print Series

Our Best Loved Images

I commissioned this series of cartoons from Tadpole with a view to making a video to showcase the piece of music "Laetitia's Veil" They exceeded my expectations for belly laughing as well as bellydancing and gave way to a whole range of Zazzle products as well as posters. They show Tadpole's quirky and unusual imagination - give him a simple idea and he will come up with a masterpiece of invention!

and so it goes - you'll need to read Tadpole's illustrated for the rest though ;)

Amber Blond And Powder Blue

I featured this range of products elsewhere, but had not added the canvas print until today. If you love this illustration (as I do) you can now get it as an art print, or scale it down to a poster if preferred. Tadpole would love his drawing to be featured on walls worldwide!

Bizarre Health Education Posters

Health Educator - Failed....

Tadpole entered a tender for some Health education posters and came up with these fantastic designs. The panel chose something much more mundane and tame as these were deemed "too scary". Why is it panels are comprised of people with wooden heads? Guess that's why they are called "panels". Anyway, judge for yourself!

What Should Anti-Smoking Campaigns Be Like?
