Painting Landscapes

Water color is one of the most favored painting medium but it is one of the most difficult and tricky one too. It involves proper understanding of light and perspective. Painting nature in water color has been very common practice.

Water color is basically applied on water color sheets but some people prefer to use canvas, fabric, board or plastic. Brushes are also best if their bristles are made up of natural source but they are expensive. Artificial bristle brushes are available every where and are inexpensive too. Water color paints are usually transparent; therefore artist has to work with caution because once painted a second layer of paint will not hide any flaw.

Using colors directly from the pallet will give unnatural shades. Mixing of paints will result in getting unique and more natural shades.
