5 Tips to get you started with watercolor!
These tips will help you get started with using watercolor. After you follow all these steps, you will become a pro at using watercolor!
#1. Use just 3 or 4 good brushes and take care of them.
#2. Use WATERCOLOR Paper that is at least 140 LB Weight!
#3. Always mix MORE paint than you think you will need!
#4. TEST your colors out on a piece of paper BEFORE painting.
#5. Keep water clean and use LARGE containers of water!
How should I take care of my brushes?
The most important part about taking care of your brushes is to NEVER lay them brush down when storing them in a container. Laying them brush down will ruin the bristles. Once you ruin the bristles on a paint brush, it will make water coloring so much harder, and your painting will turn out HORRIBLE!
So just do yourself a favor and always store your brush upwards with the bristles pointing up. It will help you out in the long run!
