Loraine loves arts and crafts and used to volunteer at an elementary art class. She loves sharing fun and kid-friendly craft tutorials.

Making crafts using wooden spoons is a lot more popular than I realized before I started searching to see what kinds of projects were available. There is a greater variety of crafts than I thought also. I did know about the kitchen angel project and the reindeer face, but after that all the projects were surprises.

I saw some ideas that I’m going to be using this fall and winter. I love the scarecrow, Santa Claus and the turkey. Make decorative items for the holidays with these easy-to-do ideas.

To find the tutorial for making the fairies shown above, go to the Simply Designing site.

1. Angel and Santa

You'll find both the angel and the Santa included in the tutorial on the Arts and Crafts ideas site. These are so very attractive and will make cute items to include in your Christmas decorating.

2. Fabric Handled Wooden Spoons

This seems like it would be too simple to include here, but sometimes the simplest ideas are the last ones that occur to us. The fabric covered handles on these wooden utensils make them suitable to include in a bridal shower or new home gift. Find the instructions for this craft at alice&lois.

3. Jar of Monsters

Imagine how much fun the kids would have helping to make this jar of monsters. A great idea for decorating for Halloween or what about using the monster theme for a birthday party and having this as an activity for the kids to do at the party? The tutorial can be found at SUZY’S SITCOM . Suzy always has such cute ideas.

4. Garden Markers

Kids love to help plant the seeds for the garden and making these garden markers will help them identify the little plants as they sprout out of the ground. Find the tutorial for making these garden markers at twig & toadstool. Let the kids copy the seed envelope for how to draw the vegetables.

5. Making a Doll Puppet

6. Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Now you can act out the story of the Three Bears after you make these puppets from wooden spoons. Go to the Red Ted Art site for the tutorial and let the kids help make the puppets. This will be so much fun for the kids, and for you too.

7. Wooden Spoon Snowman

Tucking a snowman like this one made using a wooden spoon will really dress up a plant or container gift. Find the instructions for making this snowman project at Eyeballs By Day Crafts By Night .

You have the best examples of wooden spoon crafts I have ever seen. When I first started looking at this hub I would come across one that I would think was the one I would love to make but the next one would be just as good. What great examples you have chosen to put on here.

These are excellent wooden spoon craft ideas.

Its difficult to identify that a wooden spoon has been transformed into a piece of art. It would be great to engage the kids into this craft.

Voted up and shared on HP!
