   Which art style inspires you most?

      Excellent choice! I only recently learned of Bresson's works, and I am absolutely in awe of his skills. B&W photography is so poignant, and he captured all the simple beauty of life in his shots.

   I like painting inspired by surrealism.I think that the best way to learn something is from the masters, so if I had the chance I'd definitely choose Salvador Dali!He was the most real surrealist:p

      I too base my works on surrealism, as well as cubism. I agree with you that Dali was a master, but a great influence for artists because his works encourage us to try new things, not just imitate.

   I love realism, simply because there is such a high standdard of finish that the image looks almost photographic! My favourite artist over the last few years is Jeffrey Hayes, and I would recommend that anyone interested in Art should look him up! His work is exceptionally detailed. Wish I could do it!!!

   Living and breathing art is my life and full time career...but this question seems not to have an exclusive answer. I love all forms of art, every movement, and every medium. I may not like some pieces but can appreciate the work on its own merit. With life you should never limit yourself by liking only one thing...I tend to stay true to form when creating my works. Great question one that needs to be explored a bit more.

   Visual art does it for me and I do not have any simple preferences. I have access to more information than I could ever consume in my entire lifetime and tools that I can use to produce original visual images in an instant. I have access to the biggest public art gallery ever known to the human race and I use it. My work has been seen by over a million pairs of eye balls and I can prove it. I would not have even dreamed about this ten years ago. I have moved from being a simple painter into a multimedia creator who can work in text, video, images, audio and all together at the same time which I do because I can.
   
   Human beings and the World Wide Web inspire me like nothing has inspired anybody who has ever lived before me because nobody could access this in the known history of the entire human race until now.
   
   This is the future of the future.

   It's hard to pick one style of art, but I'll try to narrow it down.  I like art that speaks to me on an emotional level.  It could be a rich color, an unexpected line, or an expression on a face that draws me into a piece of art.  I try to transfer as much of what I'm feeling into my own work as I possibly can.

   I would say the middle Edo period in Japan.  It was a great time for combining textural elements with strong design.  I really enjoy the many symbols from nature used in middle Edo period art.

       Renaissance art is very beautiful. It is almost intimidating to modern artists! The Renaissance masters had such a unique understanding of form and color.

    I would have to say a combination of all different American Arts and cultures to African art and culture. Structured, beautiful and colorful when all put together.

    I enjoy painting and viewing the pictures of the great artists in history.  My personal favorite is impressionism. The blending of color and texture is important.

       Impressionism brought us so many beautiful works. I am always amazed at how they could create such detail with only vague strokes.

    As an amateur artist and sketcher I've been influenced by many different individuals over time - Escher, Turner, Mondriaan, Hopper, Picasso - Hepworth and Moore the British sculptors were great sketchers -  I try to learn from all art and make connections to my own experiences and my own thoughts and ideas and creativity. I write poetry and I'm inspired by all kinds of art but find that only certain creations motivate me to write.
    Modern art - shall we say since Duchamp - stimulates the mind more than the heart I find so i get a buzz from looking at all sorts of stuff - performance art, installations, sculpture, abstracts and so on.
    
    Perhaps the most moving works of art I've ever seen are the animals and hands painted by pre-historic people in the caves in France and Spain, from 12,000 - 25,000 years ago! Some of the oldest images in the world. These are so humbling, yet beautifully rendered. I'd recommend anyone with an artistic streak to see them!
